FOOD ACCESS
Through our CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) program and collaboration with partner organizations, we have grown and distributed thousands of pounds of fresh produce to food-insecure neighbors since 2015. Food access, to us, is about building networks of mutual care to creatively take on the challenges of systemic inequity on the North Shore. We work to connect our communities with one another and the land, sharing resources every person needs and deserves to live a full life.
Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, our community was dealing with food insecurity: many of our neighbors in Ipswich and across the North Shore couldn’t access fresh, local vegetables on a regular basis.
The challenges of the pandemic -- now three years in -- have accelerated the existing inequality of our local food system to crisis levels and we have not seen any reduction in community need: now more than ever, we are working to make fresh, local, high-quality produce accessible to all.
partner power! a collaborative regional network
We provide the same high-quality fresh produce to and through our community partners: Acord Food Pantry, Root, Wellspring House, Ipswich Refugee Program, North Shore YMCA, and Nourishing the North Shore. Via these amazing partner organizations, our farm’s fresh produce reaches low-income, unhoused, or food-insecure neighbors in 18 cities and towns across the North Shore in many different creative ways: food pantries, mobile markets, prepared and delivered meals, and much more.
