about our Farm

Meet our farm staff here.

We grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers on 5 acres of land at the site of the former Saracen Dairy Farm, located in the area where Samuel Champlain first learned of the three sisters farming method from Native Americans in 1605; the land is now owned by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur (SNDdN).

Our Growing Practices

Recognizing the significant destructive impact that industrial agriculture has on the environment and its contributions to climate change, we seek to be a farm that is part of the solution, rather than part of the problem! We are always seeking to learn more and improve our farming systems to be better stewards of the land.

We take sustainable agriculture seriously and see it as essential for farmers to care for the soil, air, and water in our local ecosystem. We follow the organic standards but are not certified organic; we don’t use GMO seeds, synthetic fertilizers, chemical pesticides, or treated seeds. We seek to be transparent in all of our farming practices and have nothing to hide.
